How long do patio furniture slings last?

The lifespan of replacement slings depends on the material and the environment in which they are used. Generally, with proper maintenance, high-quality slings can last between 5 to 8 years. We recommend following care instructions closely to maximize the life of your slings.

How do I measure my furniture for replacement slings?

Please see our guide on How to Measure for Replacement Slings. Our guide covers what we see as the average chair and is a good starting point for measuring. The guide will cover standard and contemporary style slings types. If you have trouble measuring your sling, please contact us for assistance.

Can I install replacement slings myself, or do I need professional help?

Installing replacement slings is a manageable DIY project for most homeowners. We provide general instructions with each order, and you can find installation videos on our website. For those who prefer professional installation,  we offer installation services at our San Diego location.

You will need common tools such as a screwdriver, wrenches or socket set, a mallet, and a pipe clamp (configured to push out), and a utility knife.

What materials are available for replacement slings?

Our replacement slings are available in high-quality fabrics such as Phifertex® vinyl mesh and Sunbrella® acrylic. Each material offers unique benefits like UV protection, mildew resistance, and durability in various weather conditions, ensuring your outdoor furniture remains vibrant and comfortable.

Are replacement slings covered by a warranty?

Yes, all of our replacement slings come with a warranty that covers manufacturing defects and premature wear under normal weather conditions for up to one year after purchase. Our slings are double stiched to increase strength for both commercial and  residential applications.

How do I choose the right color and pattern for my replacement slings?

Choosing the right color and pattern involves considering your current outdoor decor and personal style. We offer a wide range of colors and patterns to complement any setting. Our customer service team can assist with samples to help you make the best choice.

What is the cost of replacement slings?

The cost of replacement slings varies based on size, material, and customization. We provide detailed pricing information on our website, and you can receive a personalized quote for specific measurements and choices by contacting us or requesting a quote online.

Can I replace slings on any brand of patio furniture?

Our replacement slings are compatible with most major brands of patio furniture. If you provide us with the brand and model of your furniture, we can confirm compatibility or suggest suitable alternatives.

For furniture featuring welded or fixed stretcher bars, the installation process can be more complex and might require specialized tools. Such furniture is often referred to as having a “Relaxed Sling” design, characterized by a more flexible, sagging appearance due to the sling not being able to be installed as tightly as standard models. We advise caution, as attempting to install these slings without the proper tools and expertise could potentially damage your furniture. If you’re unsure, it’s best to contact us with any questions you may have before placing your order.

How do I maintain and clean my replacement slings?

To keep your replacement slings looking their best, clean them regularly with mild soap and warm water. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or brushes. For tough stains, use our Multi-Purpose Patio Furniture Cleaner.

Do you offer custom sizes for replacement slings?

Each sling we produce is custom-made based on the fabric and dimensions. Customers may specify their own dimensions or select from the many Telescope Casual and Tropitone sling patterns in our library.

What are the shipping options and times for replacement slings?

Our standard shipping method is UPS Ground Advantage. Delivery times typically range from 2-7 days from the date of shipment. You will receive an email with tracking information when your order ships.

If you require expedited or overnight shipping, please contact us.

Can replacement slings be returned or exchanged?

Custom orders are typically non-refundable except in cases of defects or damage during shipping.

How do replacement slings improve outdoor furniture functionality and appearance?

Replacement slings not only refresh the look of your patio furniture but also restore comfort and support. With new slings, your furniture will feel more comfortable and look as good as new, enhancing the overall appeal and usability of your outdoor space.

How to tell if a new sling will fit?

Although sling rails and chair frames come in various designs, you can perform a simple test to ensure your new sling has the proper width. Start by removing your old sling and sliding the new sling into one of the rails still attached to the frame. Leave the opposite rail detached. Next, pull this detached rail towards the frame as if to install it, stretching the sling with moderate force. While holding the sling taut, measure the gap between the frame and the rail. Ideally, this distance should be between 1 inch and 1/2 inch, indicating the correct tightness. Note that this method may not apply to all chair styles, so adjust accordingly to your furniture’s specific requirements.
